Dr George Awwad

Dr George Awwad is an Adelaide-based orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on knee and hip conditions, including joint preservation, sports injuries, and joint replacement surgery. He has particular expertise in knee surgery and direct anterior approach hip replacements, and maintains a strong interest in the latest advancements in robotic-assisted surgical techniques.

 

Dr Awwad consults from multiple locations across Adelaide and provides tailored surgical and non-surgical treatment options to support patients in restoring joint function and mobility.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Awwad is an Associate Clinical Lecturer at The University of Adelaide and is actively involved in orthopaedic research and education. His experience also includes working with elite sporting teams such as the NSW Waratahs (Super Rugby) and the Newcastle Knights (NRL), reflecting his commitment to high-performance injury management and recovery.
